Antisemitic assault in a Budapest pub
On 2 November 2011, two men assaulted a Jewish victim in the restroom of a pub on Margit körút, shouting antisemitic remarks during the attack. Despite multiple witnesses and clear leads, police initially suspended the investigation without adequate reasoning. Delays, missed witness interviews, and procedural failures later hindered the reopened inquiry, leaving the perpetrators unidentified and the case unresolved.
