Antisemitic targeting of a synagogue inauguration in Budapest
During a synagogue inauguration in Budapest, two men spat on congregants and shouted “stinking Jews,” while a young man armed with a baseball bat later yelled antisemitic slurs and attempted to strike participants. Swift police intervention prevented injuries. All perpetrators were later arrested and prosecuted for hate-motivated offences.
