Forced Labour Under the Arrow Cross Regime

After the Arrow Cross coup, many Hungarian Jews were forced into labor. On 16 October 1944, approximately 200 of them were executed at Pusztavám. The Arrow Cross regime “lent” Jewish men and women to the occupying German forces, driving the groups westward under inhumane conditions. A significant number did not survive the brutal marches or the terror inflicted by the Arrow Cross.
