“Action Nisko” Deportations

Adolf Eichmann initiated the forced resettlement of tens of thousands of Jews from Austria, Silesia, and the Czech lands to the Lublin area. Marketed as “voluntary relocation,” the operation tested methods of deportation that would later define the Final Solution.
