Agreement enabling deportations signed

In March 1942 Slovakia signed an agreement with Germany permitting deportation of Slovak Jews. This is a critical analytical hinge: persecution moves from exclusion and dispossession into state-facilitated removal of Jews beyond Slovakia’s borders into the Nazi killing system. It underlines Slovak agency in consenting to deportation as policy, not merely responding to German force.
