Creation of the Ghettos for Roma

As the ghettos for Jews appear Romas are also forced to move to ghettos in Cracov, Łódź, Warsaw and others. Over 5,000 Roma, including 2,689 children, were confined in a segregated section of the Łódź Ghetto under horrific conditions. Deprived of sanitation, food, and medical care, hundreds died within weeks from typhus and starvation before eventual deportation to death camps.
