Demolition of Memorial Sites

During urban redevelopment projects, several Jewish cemeteries and Holocaust memorials were removed, neglected, or repurposed by local authorities. Although these actions were officially justified as development measures, they resulted in the loss of significant historical and cultural landmarks. The destruction or disappearance of these sites symbolised the broader marginalisation of Jewish memory within the national narrative.
