Extremists March in Bratislava

An extremist demonstration around Hitler’s birthday highlighted the persistence of organised neo-Nazi mobilisation and its continued use of antisemitic (and racist) themes. Such marches are important indicators of public-space confidence among extremist actors: they normalise symbols and messaging, recruit through spectacle, and test the limits of policing and political condemnation. Even where participation is small, the visibility can be disproportionate—especially for minorities—because it signals an ability to perform hate in public with limited immediate consequence.
