Holocaust Denial in Media

A far-right newspaper published material questioning the Holocaust and presenting it as an invented “myth,” adopting denialist framing as provocation rather than as historical debate. In the post-1989 space, Holocaust denial frequently re-entered public discourse through tactics designed to evade responsibility—using insinuation, selective “skepticism,” or claims of free speech—while circulating older antisemitic narratives in updated form. This mattered not only for truth and memory, but because denial functions as a form of harm in itself: it delegitimises survivors and their families, undermines public understanding of antisemitism, and creates an environment where extremist views can appear “contestable” rather than beyond the democratic boundary.
