Antisemitism

Jewish doctors and lawyers banned

Jewish professionals were prohibited from practicing medicine and law, eliminating not only income but public standing and institutional presence. The measure accelerated impoverishment and signaled that Jews would be excluded from roles associated with trust, authority, and civic participation. It also foreshadowed a wider economic strategy: by stripping livelihoods first, the state increased dependency and vulnerability before property seizures and deportations.
