Reopening of Jewish religious and communal institutions

Jewish religious life attempted to re-establish itself in a hostile and increasingly controlled environment. While some schools and synagogues reopened, they operated under constant state surveillance and with heavy administrative restrictions. Religious instruction and communal organisation were viewed as ideologically sensitive, and Jewish cultural practices were tolerated only within narrow, depoliticised boundaries. As a result, postwar Jewish revival remained fragile, constrained both by social hostility and by growing political oversight.
