An attempted attack on a journalist during an anti-Semitic demonstration

A group of neo-Nazis affiliated with the National Resistance organization wanted to walk through Prague's Jewish Quarter with lit torches on January 11, 2003. They were ultimately prevented from doing so by Prague municipal authorities, but they chose an alternative route. A counter-demonstration by the Jewish Liberal Union also took place in opposition to this event. Two neo-Nazis attempted to attack journalist Jiří X. Doležal, who was known for writing about right-wing extremism. However, the police were able to prevent the attack at the last minute. The journalist subsequently criticized the low turnout of residents at the anti-extremist demonstration in the magazine Reflex in an article "Where the hell were you?"
