Arson attack attempt at synagogue in Brno
On the night of January 29, 2024, two young men tried to set fire to a synagogue in Brno using an improvised incendiary device. However, it did not work, and they did not start the fire. They belonged to a group of on-line radicalized people that advocated jihadist goals. The case showed the rise of anti-Jewish hatred among some young people after the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2003
