Bethlen Gábor Program of Jobbik

In 2007, Jobbik launched its Gábor Bethlen Program, a nationalist manifesto calling for a return to Hungary’s pre-1944 constitutional order and stronger state control over strategic sectors. The programme promoted forming the paramilitary Hungarian Guard and explicitly targeted “Gypsy crime,” proposing specialised policing that framed Roma communities as a public-security threat.
