Death of Roma Josef Sztojka in Hradec Králové as a result of an attack by racist skinheads

A group of racist skinheads threw bottles and stones into the windows of a Roma club in Hradec Králové and allegedly broke in. The Roma began to run away in fear and jump out of the windows. At the same time, Śtefan Szojka, a 52-year-old Vlach Roma, also died for unknown reasons, apparently in a fall while trying to escape. A criminal court ultimately punished none of the skinheads for this action. The case provoked a stormy reaction in the Roma community in the region, including patrols and attacks on people of skinhead appearance.
