Dissolution of Zionist organisations and repression

Following souring relations between Israel and the Eastern Bloc, Czechoslovakia banned Zionist organisations, framing Jews as potential subversives. Under state-directed “anti-Zionism,” many Jewish citizens were monitored, interrogated or sidelined. The policy marked a shift toward state-sponsored antisemitism embedded within the communist apparatus.
