Antigypsyism

Forced resettlement of Roma based on the government resolution “on measures to address issues of the Gypsy population.”

The Czechoslovak government adopted Resolution No. 502 on measures to address issues of the Gypsy population, in which it set, among other things, the goal of liquidating Roma settlements. Subsequently, there was a significant forced transfer of the Roma population from Slovak regions to the Czech and Moravian regions, during which, according to experts on Roma issues (including Ctibor Nečas), human rights and freedoms were violated.
