Foundation of Mi Hazánk Mozgalom
Mi Hazánk Mozgalom (Our Homeland Movement) was founded in 2018 by former Jobbik members embracing a harder far-right, nationalist, anti-EU and anti-NATO line. The party quickly adopted strong antigypsy positions, portraying Roma as criminal and “unintegrable,” rejecting inclusion policies, and calling for tougher policing. Since entering parliament in 2022, it has grown influential, especially in poorer rural regions.
