Mandatory wearing of the yellow star

Under the Reich Protector’s order, all Jews over six were required to wear a yellow Star of David labelled “Jude” on their clothing, and were barred from leaving their municipality without permission. The visible marking intensified public stigmatisation and facilitated surveillance and later roundups for deportation.
