Mass violent clash in Broumov between racist skinheads and several Roma

A group of racist skinheads in Broumov, Náchod district, shouted anti-Roma insults and then violently attacked local Roma, injuring them. Other Roma in the local community heard about the incident, and several of them went to fight the skinheads. They were armed with knives and scythes and injured several skinheads. Some of the skinheads and Roma involved were subsequently convicted for the violence in this relatively mass clash. This clash was also reported in racist skinhead magazines as an example of "race fighting. It represents an example of mass clashes between skinheads and parts of the Roma community, prepared to defend themselves against racist attacks at the time violently.
