Nazi officials discuss deportation of Roma

At a high-level meeting led by Heydrich, SS authorities discussed deporting Roma from the Protectorate to Latvia. This consultation represented one of the earliest documented steps toward organising mass deportations of Roma and Sinti to extermination zones in Eastern Europe, anticipating later decisions to direct transports to Auschwitz.
