Occupation of Czechoslovakia by Nazi Germany

German troops occupied Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, ending Czechoslovak independence and placing Jews under Nazi rule. From this moment, German racial laws and antisemitic decrees could be imposed, creating the legal and political framework for exclusion, expropriation and later deportation of Jewish communities in the Protectorate.
