Order intensifying Roma “settlement actions”

The Ministry of the Interior ordered all subordinate bodies to execute Roma settlement campaigns zealously and report progress regularly. Over 36,000 Roma were fingerprinted, photographed and registered in detailed police databases. These records later served as the administrative backbone for mass arrest, internment in Lety and Hodonín, and deportations to Auschwitz.
