Protectorate adopts disciplinary labour camp regulation

The Protectorate government formally incorporated and expanded disciplinary labour camp regulations, enabling local authorities to intern Roma, Sinti and others labelled “asocial.” Municipalities could confine individuals indefinitely, often for minor or fabricated reasons. This legal consolidation strengthened the system of racialised confinement that later fed directly into the network of “assembly” and “Gypsy” camps.
