Restrictions on Roma Settlements

New policies were enacted to regulate the movement and residence of Roma populations, confining many families to designated settlements under administrative supervision. These measures curtailed freedom of movement and increased state surveillance, while isolating Roma from surrounding communities. Presented as administrative regulation, the policies in practice institutionalised segregation and facilitated later forms of repression.
