Start of segregation of “Aryan” and Jewish populations

The Prague Police Directorate ordered many businesses to post “Juden nicht zugänglich” (Jews are not allowed) signs, while others were marked “Jüdische Unternehmung” (Jewish enterprise). Separate hours and spaces were imposed in baths, pools and hospitals. Similar decrees followed elsewhere, formalising public segregation and visibly branding Jews as unwanted outsiders.
