Trial of Ferenc Szálasi

Hungary tried former Arrow Cross leader Ferenc Szálasi for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and treason. Extradited by U.S. forces, he was convicted for his role in the persecution and mass murder of Jews. Szálasi was executed on 12 March 1946, marking Hungary’s key judicial reckoning with fascist-era atrocities.
